FAQs
Where do the proceeds go?
100% of proceeds go to charitable causes through New Ground Foundation.
Why is the goal 5,000 presales?
Our goal of 5,000 pre-sales is about more than selling books—it's about creating lasting impact. Every copy of Cake Every Day helps share Alex's story of hope, perseverance, and encouragement with more families.
Proceeds from the book will support the work of the New Ground Foundation, helping provide English language learning opportunities, educational resources, and community programs for individuals whose first language is not English. By reaching 5,000 pre-sales, we're not just launching a book—we're creating opportunities, building confidence, and helping more people thrive.
Who is the Illustrator?
David Isai Estrada Martinez is a Guatemalan artist trained at the National School for Plastic Arts (ENAP) and the Higher School of Art at USAC. His work has been featured in national galleries and murals across Guatemala and El Salvador. This is his first children’s book.
